Eye to Eye: StandardVision SV Showcase 

Thrilled to have been exhibited in Downtown Los Angeles as part of Month of Photography LA @monthofphotola in partnership with Lucie Foundation and StandardVision. StandardVisions’s SV Showcase program aims to present the work of emerging artists in a month long installation and I’m so grateful to have been included with my series A Portrait of India.

Galleria Centofiorini, Italy

I will be exhibiting 20 images from my series Iraq: Road to Arbaeen at The Galleria Centofiorini in Italy with an opening speech from politician Valerio Calzolaio.

The Galleria Centofiorini was founded in 1979 by Dino Baiocco and Giorgio Luzi and is set against the hilly Marche landscape that houses the space of Palazzo Cesarini in Civitanova Alta.

Girl Behind The Lens: Stories of Mental Health and Empowerment

I will be exhibiting my work from India alongside several female photographers at The Horse Hospital

The event is hosted by Woman To Woman who provide grant-funded treatment for women suffering with eating disorders, trauma and other mental health needs.

Women of the World

The Vavengers will be hosting a fundraiser and solo exhibition of my work to raise money for FGM survivors. I will be exhibiting a cross section of my work focusing on female stories.

The Vavengers (‘Vagina Avengers’) are a collective started in 2015, made up of people of different ages, cultural backgrounds, genders and nationalities working together and putting on events towards a common goal: To End FGM. All of the proceeds from our events go directly to the charities we work with. We are not a registered charity as we feel our fundraising efforts are best applied to pre existing charities. Our fundraising is all survivor led, meaning we work with survivors of FGM to get advice on where the funds raised should go.

Festival Pil’Ours

I will be exhibiting Iraq: Road to Arbaeen and A Portrait of India at Festival Pil’Ours is an International Women's Photography Festival showing 15 photographers from 15 different countries.

Exhibition runs from July 1st - end of August.

From July 10th to July 20th I will be based in Pays de Saint Gilles Croix de Vie running talks and workshops.

Produced in collaboration with World Crunch, my work from Iraq has been animated. One Shot Now is an immersive new video format that aims to tell the story of a single photograph. Edited by Laure Gautherin and Jeff Israely.

Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2015

I'm very happy to announce that I have been selected as Finalist in the category "Wildlife Photojournalist of The Year" for Wildlife Photographer of the Year with my image of a chain elephant in Varanasi, India. This year 42,000 photographers entered the competition and I am honoured to be one of the 100 selected. The exhibition will be touring to more than 60 cities around the world.

 

The Frontline Club

TimePeace are building a mobile app which will connect refugees, asylum seekers and locals, to meet and share for free their skills, passions and interests. TimePeace see the app as an opportunity to tackle problems of social integration while enriching society. 

I will be speaking about my experiences documenting the 'Calais Jungle' refugee camp at The Frontline Club as part of the app launch.

Destination Unknown: Stories from the Refugee Crisis

I will be speaking and sharing photos from my time in the 'Calais Jungle' refugee camp at 4th Floor Studios. The evening, hosted by Laura Wotton and Cali Mackrill, aims to provide an alternative, more personal perspective on the crisis and to raise awareness of the refugee crisis in Europe.
